Our premium skin booster at CleanSlate Laser Clinic has a unique and patented formula that combines intense hydration with essential skin nutrients for the ultimate skin rejuvenation.  Skin boosters are volite fillers that are injected just beneath the skin's surface. The skin booster will assist the body in producing skin hydration and will provide a healthy glow. 

Skin boosters are not the same as dermal fillers. Dermal fillers are injections that are injected beneath the skin to add volume and shape to the face. Skin boosters are injected into the skin here. Skin boosters can be injected into a variety of locations on the body. However, the most common areas are the face, neck, chest, and hands.

The skin boosters used are very fluid, resulting in a smooth final result while also assisting the body in producing collagen and elastin. The end result is firmer, younger-looking skin.

Are Skin Boosters safe to use?

Skin boosters are safe because the ingredients are found naturally in our bodies, and all treatments are performed in a medically clean environment. While there is always some risk with any skin procedure, significant side effects from skin boosters are extremely rare. Before your treatment, our qualified cosmetic practitioner will go over all of the benefits and risks with you.

TREATMENT

Skin boosters are commonly performed on the face and neck, but they can also be performed on other parts of the body such as the décolletage and hands. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or anti-wrinkle medicine can also be added to your treatment for complete facial skin rejuvenation, with additional benefits such as scar and pore reduction.

The doctor will apply anaesthetic cream prior to the treatment to reduce discomfort during the procedure. A needle is used to inject the skin booster into various areas of the skin. The treatment results in increased elasticity and improved skin structure.

SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT 

You will notice a difference after just one treatment, but three treatments are recommended, with a four-week interval between each treatment. This treatment will not prevent skin aging; therefore, we strongly recommend maintenance 2 – 3 times per year for the best results.

AFTERCARE 

After injections of skin boosters, no real aftercare is required. We do recommend that you avoid the sun for the first 24-48 hours and use a sunscreen with at least SPF30. Although side effects are uncommon, some redness, bruising, and lumpiness may occur around the injection sites. This will pass in a day or two. 

RESULT 

Individual results vary, but you will notice distinct results after 1 to 2 weeks. Skin Booster treatment should not be viewed as a one-time event, but rather as part of a regular beauty regimen. We usually recommend three sessions of treatment, four weeks apart, for the best results. The skin will be hydrated for a full year. Following that, we recommend maintenance sessions two to three times a year, depending on the condition of your skin, your skin care regimen, and the desired results.
