Tattoo Removal Process
Tattoo removal is a process. Unfortunately we cannot remove your unwanted ink in 1 treatment (as much as we’d love to). As an average it can take between 6-8 treatments that are spaced one month apart. This is so your body has time to heal, your Macrophages have time to flush it through your body and so we don’t have any scarring.
The healing process for most people is around 2 weeks, with the main healing occurring in the first 4-5 days. Small tattoos heal quicker, whereas a bigger piece can take longer to heal as there has been more ink displaced through your body.
The longer you leave between treatments is better - as your body will start to dissolve the ink on its own, but at a slower rate. We recommend having a few treatments to start with so that we can reassess and work out the best treatment and time frame for your tattoo to get the best results.
Everyone is different, so it is extremely hard to predict the rate at which your tattoo will fade. The age, colour, placement, ink used and tattoo artist all have a bearing on your results.
